Joseph Lee
Director of Sales
Joseph Lee is the Director of Sales for The Avery Group and has helped countless companies utilize strategies for Employee Benefits and Insurance that maximize coverage while reducing overall spend. Joseph began his insurance career in the commercial Property & Casualty specialty in 2006, working with businesses to implement insurance solutions to best manage their unique risks. His entry into the Employee Benefits space began after taking on the role of Regional Sales Manager for Benefit Brokerage Services, a self-funding General Agency with a TPA division. Joseph quickly built a reputation among the insurance broker community as a valuable resource and subject matter expert on all things self-funding and more. Building upon this success, he joined the esteemed team at The Word & Brown General Agency as Regional Sales Manager, the largest wholesaler of Health Insurance in California. In this role, Joseph worked with a territory of insurance brokers from the San Francisco Peninsula up the coast to the Oregon border, who all grew their agencies and benefited from the close partnership. After propelling his territory to become the top performing region for Northern California, he made the strategic move to co-launch The Avery Group and bring his extensive expertise to the mass market. He now works directly with companies and other strategic partners to develop customized Employee Benefit and Insurance solutions that maximize value, while controlling cost. Joseph resides in Hayward Hills, California with his wife and is an avid car enthusiast. He spends his free time traveling, working in the garage, or on projects with the Lions Club.
