Kat Hoi

Director of Operations

Kat Hoi is the Director of Operations for The Avery Group and has provided clients with an unparalleled level of service in the implementation and administration of Employee Benefit Plans since 2009. After earning a B.A. in Economics from UC Davis, she accepted the role of Account Specialist for Benefit Brokerage Services, a self-funding General Agency specializing in ASO and MERP plans. Kat quickly became the go-to person in the office for her astute attention to detail and ability to problem solve across different departments and vendors. She was one of the key people responsible for the launch of East West Administrators, an in-house Third-Party Administrator (TPA). In 2014, she was promoted to oversee both the General Agency and TPA as Director of Operations with more than 15 people on her team. The ASO business tripled within a few years and she implemented protocols to support the growth, all while maintaining the high level of service clients have come to enjoy. Having achieved much success, her natural ambition was met with an opportunity to take over the client portfolio of a retiring broker and ultimately led to co-founding The Avery Group. Kat treats every client with a unique hands-on approach in designing the right plan and implementing the right protocols for easy administration. Kat resides in Milpitas, California and spends her free time with family, traveling or practicing yoga.
